With LeZot Camera's lens CPU service, we add an unobtrusive chip to the lens mount, which will communicate with the electronic light metering system in newer camera bodies.  This permits full light meter operation, even using older lenses.
For example, the famous Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 lens from the 1960s and -70s could be "chipped" for use with a Nikon D50, or D3000.  Once this service is done, the camera's light meter will read focal length and minimum aperture information, and with many lenses, automatic aperture control is reasonably accurate, too!
