Nikon D700 Damaged CF Pin Repair Service
The most common symptom of bent pins (or prongs) is inability or difficulty in installing the Compact Flash memory card. In most cases, with proper lighting, you can remove the card and see into the slot. Every pin should be evenly spaced from its neighbors. If any are uneven, or if you can see the side of a pin, it is bent. From the inside of the camera, it looks like this:
The camera should still turn on, and if it does not turn on with a fresh battery, it has further damage. We can still fix it, but not under this repair listing. You could contact directly, or use our Repair Estimation service.
If CF pin damage is your problem, LeZot Camera Repair will restore your D700 to its original condition. You spent your hard-earned money on that camera, so why just throw it away? If it has served you well until now, return the favor and get your Nikon D700 the LeZot treatment.
Our discounted Internet Special of $195.00 includes:
- Repairing or replacing the bent pins, as needed
- Re-soldering of the internal connections
- General cleaning of the entire camera
- 90 day limited service warranty
Please note that cameras showing signs of tampering will incur additional charges.
Before shipping your camera, please examine your memory cards. (See note at the bottom of this page). We have found that the cards themselves are often damaged at the same time as the pins, and a damaged card could break your camera again! If there is any doubt, you can send the card too (please backup all images first), and we can often repair that as well - included in the discounted $195.00 price.
Turn-around time for this internet special is 7-10 business days from when we receive your pre-paid repair to the time we ship it back UPS Ground. If you need a rush, let us know and we can negotiate a date and rush charge. Please note that business days are Tuesday-Saturday, and LeZot Camera Repair is closed Sundays and Mondays.
Upon purchase, ship camera to:

to have it back in my hands and functioning beautifully. I also want
to thank you for the photo of the damaged card you included. My card
did indeed have a gouge in it and little bits of plastic covering a
couple of the holes. I bought a new 4 gig card and will probably never
remove it from the camera.

Thought I was going to have to replace...

But instead got away with a really reasonably priced repair. My shipping costs were the worst part, but well worth it when I couldn't find someone local to repair my card slot after I bent several pins on it. I was led to believe I might have to replace my D700 and could not afford that right now. Really happy.
Great Service, Affordable Rates.

I could not be more happier with the service I received on my NIKON D 700. From the initial order to return they kept me notified of the progress along the way. The camera was returned well packed and operates perfectly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking outside of NIKON for repair.
